Our Van-Building Journey

1970s

FIRST VAN BUILD

Embarking on my van-building journey, I completed my first custom build, a 1965 Ford Econoline.  This ignited my passion for vans and building van conversions.  We used it for camping and had a lot of fun in it..

Then I bought a dealer converted 1975 Dodge B100 and started working on it right away.  It had the classic shag carpeting throughout, pinstripe, and a slant 6 engine.  I added tires, wheels, molded fender flares and spoiler, and some custom port windows with lights.

1980s

INNOVATIVE CUSTOMIZATION TECHNIQUES

I built a '77 Dodge B100 with a 340 engine with 4 on the floor.  Scarlet Fever won a lot of 1st place trophies at van and car shows.

DIY Lexan windows, visor, rear spoiler and custom grill.  Over the top full custom body work and ornate oak interior. Button tucked door panels, custom lighting and glass etching were all a part of my vans of the era.  Van Ins were a huge trend of the era and we went to a whole lot of those events.

2020s

Sprinter Van full RV customization

No more crawling around on our knees, the advent of the taller delivery vans, Sprinter, Transit, and the like rebounds interest in vans.  Creation of full on custom van with enough power to run a small household for days.  Solar, Lithium, bathroom with shower, sink, counters, and a full size comfortable bed.  12v air conditioning finishes the experience for hot summer nights and a gasoline heater for cold winter trips.   After working on a 2017 Pleasureway Class B van we bought an empty 2021 Sprinter 2500 and went wild on it.
